Raiders rout Patriots

PLEASANT VALLEY — Pleasant Valley stormed to a 68-26 victory over West End in a nonregion football game Aug. 31.

The Raiders led 20-0 at the end of the first quarter and 41-0 at halftime. Pleasant Valley (1-0) had 405 yards total offense at intermission.

West End quarterback Jacob Jones finished 28-of-56 passing for a career-high 304 yards and four touchdown passes.

Jeremiah Roberson caught three of Jones’ TD throws.

West End (0-2) travels to Cleveland on Friday to kick off Class 2A, Region 6 play. The Patriots’ next home game is Sept. 14 vs. Westbrook Christian.
